Reach the top of a mysterious space tower!
Made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 55.
KEYBOARD CONTROLS
- Move with arrow keys
- Cast a spell with X or C
- Choose a level-up perk with S or D
- Take control of a minion with SPACE BAR
- Undo/redo with Z/Y (hold for fast undo)
- Pause with P or ESCAPE
- Toggle fullscreen with F
MOUSE CONTROLS
- Click on a reachable tile to move
- Click on a monster to face it, click again to attack it with your basic spell
- Use the right panel for everything else:
- Cast a spell
- Choose a level-up perk
- Take control of a minion
- Undo/redo
- Pause
There is a bug that allows you to level up without having enough XP, don't use it unless you don't mind breaking the intended progression.
The game is quite complex, play the tutorial to get used to the mechanics!

This is great! There’s a puzzle aspect to figuring out where and when to spend your eyes/crystals to reach as far as possible (plus revisiting the levels).

Beating all of the enemies in both maps has me at 36 eyes - is this the max? Another comment says that they have 92, though I’m not sure how that is possible. BTW where can I access the third level - is in in the .zip?
Glad you liked it! The game has a bug where you can use the level-up perk shortcut (S or D) even if you don’t have enough XP.

Without using this bug my best score is 37 eyes, the slime has a spell that allows it to gain a level. You can then kill it to get the XP back.I ran out of time during the game jam to make the third level, after the rating period has ended (in ~2 weeks) I’ll update the game with bug fixes and more content.
